WHY HAVE A BUB E CNC POINT GRINDER?

The universal center grinder BUB is designed for external or internal grinding of workpieces clamped between centers or in a chuck in a headstock. The feed of the grinding headstock and the table travel are realized by servomotors and ball screws. The BUB grinder is a very stable and precise machine that can be used in series production as well as in piece production for workpieces with a total weight of up to 500 kg.

The machine grinds in working accuracy IT 4 and can be equipped with modern design elements, e.g. in-process gauge, axial probe, automatic (electric) steady rests, rotary dresser, electric spindles, scale on the Z axis, etc.

The machine can be equipped with the SINUMERIK 828D sl, SINUMERIK 840D sl, SINUMERIK ONE or FANUC control system.

The grinding machine is intended primarily for numerically controlled grinding of external cylindrical surfaces of various diameters and their adjacent front surfaces and radii. In the centers, it is possible to grind cylindrical surfaces or conical surfaces with longitudinal feed and a moving table, plunge grinding with a fixed or oscillating table, grinding in a plunge and longitudinal grinding cycle. More complex surfaces can be ground with linear and circular interpolation. A tilting device with a separate spindle is used for internal grinding. The machine can be individually equipped with a B axis with multiple tools.

In a special version, the machine is equipped with a C axis for precise positioning and grinding of non-circular shapes, a stiffer headstock for overhanging clamping or a polishing device for achieving high surface quality. Thanks to these above-standard options, the machine represents the most universal and effective solution on the grinding machine market.
